Question: If I’m new to ODPC, where do I start? >First Time Steps<

Answer: Well, first off, we’re really glad that you’re here! There are a couple of things that you can choose to do. The first thing is to make sure that you’ve filled out one of our visitor welcome forms. You can pick one up on Sunday mornings when you’re greeted by one of our greeters. Just say that you’re new here and they’ll take care of the rest!

Question: What should I expect when I come to visit?

Answer: We really try to make it one thing: A safe place!

If you have a relationship with God, then we hope that this is a place where you can grow deeper in your love for Him and really be built up in your faith as you find some genuine and real brothers and sisters that you can journey with.

If you’re still wondering what this whole God thing is all about, then this is a safe place where questions aren’t swept under the rug, but where we’ll do our best to answer them. And if we don’t know, we’ll try to find out!

We realize that not everyone has the same story to tell and everyone has a different journey in getting to God and that’s OK! This is a safe place where you can hopefully ask some questions, find some answers and make some lasting friendships along the way!

They say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step… well, STEP ON IN!

Question: How can I get involved?

Answer: There are a couple of ways to get involved:

First, come to our gatherings on a regular basis. Once we get to know each other better, then you can get connected into any numerous ministries that we have here at ODPC. Shoot an email to Pastor Peter or Pastor Sam and they’ll set up a time to meet with you and see what your interests are. Or you can touch base with one of our Youth Group teachers or small group leaders.

Second, check out the activities tables and website often! There are a lot of special activities that we have going on all year round, so listen up for some announcements or mosey along the tables in the hallway and see if anything interests you!

Question: What should I bring?

Answer: Yourself!

We care about you and not what you have to offer, so be yourself! We know that everyone who comes through our doors are broken and messed up in one way or another. But the funny thing is, we’re all trying to be something we’re not and we’ll never be — perfect!

We’re not a museum where people come to show off their fancy selves. We’re a hospital, a place where you can come just as you are and be REAL!
